Privacy Policy

Greeley Residents Directory is a small reference site about Weld records and Greeley historical collections. It does not require an account and does not host the property, voter, court, vital, or library records described on its pages. This policy explains the limited information that may pass through the site, what third-party search tools control, and how Colorado privacy rules differ from public-record custodian rules.

Information You Enter

Names, phone numbers, or addresses typed into a search box are sent to the third-party provider that powers the results. Greeley Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address includes whatever information the sender chooses to provide, and it is used to answer or route the question.

Routine Technical Logs

The hosting service may record ordinary server data such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and timestamp. Aggregate review helps keep the pages available and identify broken links. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics or advertising measurement when a provider places them.

How Information Is Used

Contact information is used to respond, investigate a technical problem, or keep a request from being lost. Technical logs are used for security, performance, and broad usage measures. The site does not sell a contact list or create a private Greeley resident database from reader messages.

Links and Search Providers

Pages link to Weld County, Greeley, Colorado, USPS, library, museum, court, and archive resources. Search boxes may be operated by an outside provider. An external provider has its own privacy terms, retention practices, cookies, and request process. Read that provider's notice before entering sensitive information. Other linked services include the Colorado Privacy Act resource, Great Colorado Payback, the official claim search, and the Weld GIS Hub.

Who May Receive Information

Hosting, analytics, advertising, security, and search providers may process the limited information needed to provide their service. A contact message may be shared with a service provider when that is necessary to answer it. The site may disclose information when required by law, to protect its operation, or to investigate abuse.

Security and Retention

Reasonable administrative and technical steps are used for the small amount of data under the site's control. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be secure. Contact messages and server logs may remain for as long as needed for a response, security review, legal duty, or ordinary hosting process.

Visitors Under 18

The pages are not directed to children under 13, and the site does not knowingly collect personal information from a child. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information may use the Contact page to request review and deletion of information under the site's control.

Your Colorado Data Choices

Depending on the circumstances, Colorado's Privacy Act gives a consumer access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights for data held by a covered controller. The relevant state law is the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§ 6-1-1301 to 6-1-1313, including the universal opt-out provision in C.R.S. § 6-1-1306(1)(a)(IV) and 4 CCR 904-3 Rule 5.07. Contact requests about data held by this site can be sent through the Contact page.

Those rights do not let this private directory alter a Weld deed, assessor parcel, voter file, court record, vital certificate, or historical newspaper. A correction or removal request for a government record belongs with the custodian. Colorado's Address Confidentiality Program, protected-voter process, and Weld web-information blocking route are separate source-specific controls.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised when the site's data practices, providers, or legal obligations change. The current version is posted here with its effective wording. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to later use.
